I did a job shadowing with an amazing photographer, Patricia Gee, at the VBSPCA.
I really enjoyed my time being able to work with and learn from her.
I learned a lot about being a perfessional as well as working collabrtaivly with people. Being a professional studio photographer seems like something i could see myself doing. I was unsure before my shadowing experiance on what type of photographer I could be. The only thing i wouldnt like about it would be the controlled aspect of the shoot. I enjoy the unpredictable nature of landscape and nature photography. However, thats something i could overcome and find myself enjoying.
She works closely and collabratvly with the workers at VBSPCA to make the shoots go smoothly which is something the acadmey has taught me to deal with. I could easily see myself in her shoes. This experiance has taught me a lot of the ins and outs of the everyday in the life of a photographer. This doesnt change how i view a future as a photographer, i would still love to do it.
